Sunday Morning Service Moves to the High School TPAC!

September 1, 2011

Cornerstone Family Worship is making a big move on Sunday mornings!  We will be meeting at the Tonganoxie Performing Arts Center at the High School (on 24-40 across from Sonic).  We will only have one Sunday Service at 10:45am instead of two services.

Sunday School will also be held at the High School in rooms next to the TPAC .  Sunday school will start at its normal time of 9:30 and will continue to be provided for all ages.

Nursery will start at  9:30 and will continue on through the main service as it does today.

Please make plans to join us in this exciting adventure.

Valentine’s Banquet

January 18, 2012

Valentine's Banquet, Saturday, February 11th

It is time to save the date for our annual Valentine’s Banquet.  It will be Saturday, February 11th at 5:30 p.m.  This year’s theme will be “Flashback to the Fifties”.   So, pull out those old poodle skirts and roll up your old blue jeans and join us for this evening of fun, food and fellowship!  Tickets will be $10 each for dinner and the show!  Dinner will be pasta with either marinara and meatballs or alfredo and chicken with chocolate cake for dessert.   Tickets will go on sale on Sunday, January 22nd.   The Kappa Pi Youth will be helping serve and wait tables.   All tips they receive will go to Speed the Light.  Child care will be provided, but you must RSVP for child care.  Hope to see you all on the 11th for another great year!!

Women’s Bible Studies

Women's Bible Studies

After the first of the year, there will be two new Women’s Bible Studies.

The first one will begin on Monday, February 6th.  This will be from 6:30—8:00 p.m. for 6 weeks.  This study will be held at the church.  They will be studying “Apples of Gold” by Betty Huizenga.  This is a study for young and adult alike.  Single, married, with or without children.  The primary focus of this study will be for our older women to nurture our younger women in the Word of God and encourage them to obey.  The principles of this study are found in Proverbs 25:11 and Titus 2:3—5.  Some of those we will be looking at are: kindness, loving our husbands, loving our children, submission, purity and hospitality.  Books are not needed for this study.

The second Bible Study will be during the day!  Watch for more details as to when this study will start.

Women’s Ministry Outing

Women's Ministry Outing, Sunday, January 29th

On Sunday, January 29th, all the ladies are invited to go to Charming Charlie’s at the Legends for a little shopping and then enjoy dinner at Olive Garden afterwards!  Each lady in our group will receive a 20% discount at Charming Charlie’s!!  We will be shopping from 4 – 6 p.m. and then have dinner afterwards.  We will leave the church at 3:30 p.m. and head to Charming Charlie’s.  Or you may meet us in there.  Please sign-up on the bulletin attachment so we know how many to expect for dinner and who will be leaving from the church.  We also must have everyone’s name on a list to give to them at Charming Charlie’s.  Your name must be on the list to receive the discount!  Hope to see you all for a fun night of shopping and dinner!

Prayer Service

Rainbows

October 31, 2011

Rainbows for 3 and 4 year old boys and girls meets on Wednesday nights.

Rainbows is a club for our 3 and 4 year old boys and girls that meets each Wednesday night from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.  In Rainbows the children will study such things as kindness, forgiveness, thankfulness and so much more.  The Rainbows pledge is “As a Rainbow, I will be a good helper, pleasing Jesus every day.”  Rainbows strive to be good helpers where ever they are.

Top Secret: Children's Activities begin on November 2nd

Join us beginning Wednesday, November 2nd for our new Wednesday Children’s Activities!  Training will begin for all secret agents on November 2nd!  This is a top secret mission!  All children K – 5th grade are invited to see what all the excitement is about!
